In spite of my previous scroogey post, our children have really been enjoying Christmas preparations this year. At 2, Nicholas is delighted by all the decorations and knows several Christmas carols. His favorites are “Up on the Housetop” and “Jingle Bells.” Kieran has been making lots of pictures of Santa Claus (however, he no longer believes in Santa at age 5!).

Here is the poor Mother-in-law, who arrived from England a week ago last Monday and has been cooped up with all of us for the past 10 days! At least she’s gotten some knitting done!
