My parents gave Chris a great book for his birthday called Weird Oregon, and I enjoyed perusing it today…it has some fascinating, little-known facts about Oregon places and history.

Here’s Wild Oregon…blackberries! The boys petered out after a few minutes (Chris kept going longer than the others because he wanted me to make a pie and I kept reminding him of the story of the little red hen!)

Blackberries are–literally–a pain to pick…but boy do they taste good! And you can’t beat FREE!
