If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s hypocrisy.
Here’s Jim Wallis writing about the hypocrisy of Fox News…which constantly advocates preserving Wall Street CEO pay at top dollar and preserving the Bush tax cuts…while at the same time attacking teachers and other public workers as bloodsucking lazy bums.
He includes a priceless video (below) of Jon Stewart last night addressing this same issue. Why are the contractual obligations of rich business people so much more sacred than those of teachers and other government workers? Why do the fat cats deserve more than the people who make sacrifices every day to teach our country’s most vulnerable and nurture our future generations?
