Friday morning Mike and I took a walk around our Brisbane hotel.

In front of the hotel where he worked as a porter at age 18
He probably used that very luggage cart!!
Memorial to a little boy killed on the bridge during World War I, a sad story!

Our nephew Alex and sister-in-law Shemara arrived on Friday morning to whisk us off to beautiful Noosa. Noosa is a popular resort area on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. It’s surrounded by stunning beaches, lakes, and the amazingly gorgeous Noosa National Park. It’s also home to one of only two everglades systems in the world.

And it’s full of fancy restaurants with outstanding seafood!

First of many lovely walks in Noosa
Ice cream on every block!! Seriously! The Aussies (and our sister-in-law) love their ice cream!!
Famous Hastings Street in Noosa

Mike’s and Ed’s old friend Carolyn and her oldest son Ben joined us for lunch on Saturday. We were all fascinated to hear about his 18-month journey by motorbike up through Australia and into Asia and the Middle East.

Dinner Friday night

We are definitely getting spoiled with all the fine dining! Australia has phenomenal seafood and cookery.

Next, the flora and fauna of beautiful Noosa!
