We had a few quieter days, wandering around Sydney and visiting significant locations.

On Monday we began with a beautiful ferry ride into central Sydney.

Then we walked around the botanical garden, which didn’t have a lot of blossoms (being the start of spring), but had incredible views.

It was starting to warm up, so next we sought refuge in the Endeavor Tap Rooms for lunch.

Australia has plentiful NA beer, so Mike doesn’t feel left out!

We explored The Rocks after lunch

And we did a little shopping!

We meet a Japanese jewelry maker and bought some of her work!
Then we had tea at The Tea Cozy…too bad I gave up knitting!

That night we had drinks with Shemara’s college friends and her aunt and uncle on the balcony.

The next morning (Tuesday), Mike and Shemara took a walk in Nielsen Park while I attempted to do a bit of work.

Later that day Shemara took us to where her parents are buried in Waverley Cemetery. I regret never being able to meet them!

Amazing cemetery!

Next we went to the church where Ed and Shemara got married 25 years ago (Mike came but I missed it). It’s a beautiful old church from the 1840s.

And finally we went to the place where they had their reception.

It was nice to feel more a part of the wedding by revisiting these places!
